Special Note: You should start looking for a celebrant as soon as you have a date. To enable you to apply for a marriage licence you need  to include the name of the celebrant on the statutory declaration form that you provide to the Department of Births, Deaths and Marriages. Having at least three months of communication prior to the wedding would be ideal to ensure all the little details are covered.
